Old computers, old technology, ill-advised tinkering with things, terrible soldering skills, and occasionally spiders.
Hi, I’m Kari and I’m just a girl in her 20s who loves sharing my passion for making, fixing, coding and collecting cool retro things. So, join me as I travel back in time and experience old computers and video games systems from the 70s, 80s and 90s (sometimes 00s as well ;) for the first time. Through seeing how things worked, showing my attempts at restoring/repairing and fixing them when needed, trying out classic accessories and software, and playing video games from the past. Likewise, I love to explore old programming languages, from typing in programs from books and magazine listings, to trying my hand at converting old code to work with modern systems. I even share my love for all things pop culture, paying homage to timeless icons, through making and sharing files for you to make and do yourself, using newer technologies like 3D-printing and laser cutting. -x-x-Kari-x-x-
Here I "tinker" with things, mainly electronics and computers. You will see repairs, reviews and anything that arrives on my bench! Happy watching and thanks for visiting!!

Hey there! Over here on the second channel you'll find an FAQ video a few weeks after every video comes out on AlphaPhoenix, and I'll post smaller snippets like timelapses, and short less-edited physicsy observations, whatever stuff I want to share that doesn't meet spec for the real channel! Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone. I am happy to see you on my channel and hope you enjoy going back in time. I grew up in a very exciting time of PC computing. The internet was not yet widely used, but it became very common to have PCs in every household. The first PC I did not share with anybody else was an AMD 486 DX4 100 with Windows 3.11 and later Windows 95. I read a lot of PC Magazines back in the '90s and enjoyed new hardware releases like the Voodoo accelerator cards, Pentium II in their Slot 1 configuration, and many more. Unfortunately, I did not have the money to buy them all. 25 years later, it seems to become a hobby of mine to play around with old hardware. If you like to see old hardware and odd projects here and there, please subscribe to my channel and join me in exploring the world of retro hardware!
Im still learning about electronics and attempting to fix them but after my first burnt screen fix I was hooked. Follow me as I attempt to fix/upgrade (if I’m feeling frisky) gaming systems. I may fix them I may break them more but in the end its all about having fun with something you enjoy. Join me every 2 weeks and thank you for watching Disclaimer!! I will never message you about giveaways or have comments with links for things you have won. This is not me, and I do not sell anything. I will never ask for money.
